Profile

Hello — I’m Matt Ramseyer, a licensed and certified K-12 Visual Arts teacher. I am fortunate to have gained sixteen years of experience not only teaching visual arts in a public high school but, growing as an artist as well. While I loved my time serving in that way, I observed a need in the community for individuals to ignore the pulls of society around them and engage in healthy intrapersonal activities. Over the years I have spent countless hours fine tuning my instructional practices and ideology to engage students and promote a positive learning environment. Through it all, I have found that when I build a connection between my faith and creative abilities, growth in both areas happen in ways that are sometimes hard to describe.

In my free time I enjoy creating artwork and spending time with my family. I am thrilled if that can take place outside in the sunshine, ideally around our pets. Growing up on a dairy farm, I have always had a slight obsession with farm animals and I love nothing more than opportunities to be with these creations God has blessed my life with of both the human and animal variety.

What We Offer

Whether you are a child, student or adult, we offer engaging visual art instruction with a faith based initiative. Here are some of the services available:

  • With your monthly membership you will receive full access to our Faith and Fine Arts membership site. More specifically, each month you will receive a visual journal assignment in the form of an instructional video explaining and demonstrating all the techniques. Accompanying the assignment, you will receive a related Bible memory verse and discussion questions to help you facilitate discussion in topics of faith, Bible and worship as they relate to your completed artwork. Two new art projects will also be posted each month; one at the beginner level and another at the advanced level. These projects, which align with the National Core Arts Standards, will come in the form of written instructions, demonstration photos and examples with demonstration videos when necessary.
