About Me

Inspired by my faith and formally educated in Visual Arts instruction, my career began in the public school setting. Fast forward 16 years and I find myself here with the opportunity to start something new. While it was bittersweet to say goodbye to Room 108, I am excited to see where God leads in this journey.

Mr. Ramseyer was an essential building block in my artistic experience through attending faith-based art camps hosted by him, and being his student in high school. Mr. Ramseyer sparked my passion for creativity and has had an extensive impact on my artistic knowledge, personal style and love for Jesus.

I had the pleasure of attending an art class with Matt and can’t recommend him enough! He has a wonderful way of connecting with kids - always laughing, cracking jokes and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere that keeps everyone engaged. But what really sets Matt apart is his deep knowledge of art and ability to teach it in a meaningful way. He introduced us to color theory and a variety of techniques using simple tools from home, making the creative process both accessible and exciting.

What touched me most was how Matt explained art in an away that glorifies God. He helped us see how creativity is a reflection of the Creator Himself, and how even the smallest artistic expression can be an act of worship. His passion for both art and faith shines through in every lesson, inspiring kids (and adults) to create with purpose and joy. He is truly a gifted teacher and a blessing to learn from.
